Guillermo Del Toro has been talking about The Hobbit again, at a press conference for Splice. Comingsoon reports that Mr.Hellboy has said that there is no official start date and that the fantasy project hasn’t even been greenlit. “It’s not greenlit” he said. Del Toro also went on to say “That's categorical. We've been caught in a very tangled negotiation. There cannot be any start dates until the MGM situation gets resolved. They do hold a considerable portion of the rights."”
So Tolkien fans, blame MGM!
