Slash (yes, that Slash) has started up Slasher Films with Scout productions (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) who will finance the development of screenplays for the guitarist’s company! According to Deadline they will produce movies that give a nod to the thrillers of the 70’s and 80’s. The first movie out of the guitar case (sorry) is called Nothing To Fear in which a young family is tormented by some ancient demon who has a passion for blood.
The best friend of Axl Rose (ahem…cough..cough..choke) said “I've always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I've always wanted to do. My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy."
So, almost following in the footsteps of Rob Zombie, who’s next to join the movie business? Daniel O Donnell maybe? Sure, he could start up Wee films (If your outside of Ireland you may not get the Wee part, it’s a northern dialect, meaning small) producing movies about…I don’t know…sandwich making or something.
Anyway, obligatory picture of Slash!
