The trailer to Catherine Hardwicke's (Twilight) newest flick, Red Riding Hood has hit the net. First thing's first though; is anyone else getting a strong "they wouldn't let me direct New Moon so I made this in retaliation" vibe from the trailer? Red Riding Hood is clearly being aimed at that particular audience. I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing when you've got a talented director and a great cast (Amanda Seyfriend, Gary Oldman, Virginia Madsen) so maybe this can be a good Twilightesque tale? It looks beautifully filmed...but man, that acting...yikes! The film stars Amanda Seyfriend as a girl who falls in love with an orphaned woodcutter, just as a werewolf begins systematically attacking her town.
