The first picture of Leonardo DiCaprio, donned in full J. Edgar gear, has hit the net over at /Film. The flick, titled J. Edgar, which is currently in production, is directed by Clint Eastwood and starring alongside Leo is Armie Hammer, Ed Westwick, Judi Dench and Naomi Watts. For those not up to scratch on their American History, J. Edgar Hoover was the controversial director of the FBI from 1935 to 1972. Hoover had investigations on the Klu Klux Klan, the Mafia and the Black Panthers. He's also noted for endorsing illegal methods of investigation and collecting secret files on several political leaders. Should be an interesting film, providing Eastwood is prepared to shine a light on the more controversial aspects of Hoover's private and professional life.
