With Jon Favreau bowing out of the Iron Man franchise last month, Marvel has been quietly looking for a replacement for the third installment, due for release after The Avengers. And today, Heat Vision Blog posted an article that states that insider sources say Shane Black is in the running for the director's chair. Black, a Hollywood action veteran, is the scribe of Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (which he also directed). It's understood that if he gets the job, he'll also write a draft for Marvel. Take this with a grain of salt, as next to nothing is confirmed, but in my opinion; he's the man for the job.
