Don Coscarelli, director of the wonderful Phantasm saga and the cult favourite Bubba-Ho-Tep, has released the trailer for his first film in a decade, John Dies At The End. The oddly titled film is based on a novel in which a new drug called Soy Sauce let's it's user experience otherworldly sites and dimensions. When two friends John and David use the drug, they find out that it's side effects allow them to see an incoming invasion from creatures that want to destroy humanity. Headlining the film are Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Doug Jones, Chase Williamson and Rob Mayes.
I'm a huge fan of Coscarelli's work and I wish I was at this year's Fantastic Fest to scope out the sizzle reel he brought this year, alas, this trailer will have to do for now.
John Dies At The End is due for release in 2012.
