Drive opens tomorrow, September 16, in the US and on the 23rd in Ireland and the UK, and having seen it already I cannot recommend it highly enough – a truly brilliant film and my favourite of the year so far, easily.
Courtesy of the New York Times website comes a great little clip that features the movie’s director, Nicholas Winding-Refn, give commentary on one of the early scenes in the movie. It’s pretty spoiler-free, so don’t worry. He talks about budget, shooting process and the tricky parts of shooting in LA. Great stuff.
You can also get the soundtrack already on iTunes – I thoroughly recommend you do. It’ll turn even the most mundane commute drive to work into a cinematic event.
