Richard Curtis Back Directing

SHARE:

It’s been a while since we last saw a Richard Curtis movie and reports suggest that the director is making noises about another project. Curtis who is practically a British institution at this stage from his many projects which usually revolve around love, life and of course comedy. It’s been a while since he made The Boat that Rocked, and the director looks set to direct a low budget feature entitled, About time. The title is somewhat ironic given many fans will be saying the same thing regarding getting back behind the camera! The upcoming project is rumoured to be a time-travel drama comedy, how it will go is anyone’s guess but Curtis doesn’t usually go far wrong. No real details as yet for the plot but shooting may begin this summer. A script is still to be put forward and there has been no casting confirmed as of yet. Could this be influenced by his relatively recent stint writing a Doctor Who episode back in 2010? Although Curtis hasn’t directed in a while he certainly hasn’t been idle, he co-wrote the script for War Horse with Lee Hall and also has a few projects on the backburner including Trash for Stephen Daldry and also another rom com called Lost for Words which is still in development. One thing is for sure he will be back directing again very soon.
