Natalie Portman is considering going back to her sci-fi roots to take a leading role in the new Jupiter Ascending movie.
She has been taking some well earned time out since the birth of her son last June and also probably to shine up her lovely new Oscar. She has read the script for the movie and the creators Lana and Andy Wachowski are keen for her to be involved.
There is still not a great deal known about the project at this stage but it is due to start filming this Autumn. Portman is said to be very interested but of course it at a very early stage. She has already pulled out of the novel adaptation of Gravity and gave the lead to Sandra Bullock.
This would be the first serious sci-fi film in some time and with only the much awaited Thor sequel on her schedule at the moment, lets hope something comes of this rumour.
