Disney’s Lone Ranger directed by Gore Verbinski has secured the services of William Fichtner for the role of Butch Cavendish previously occupied by Dwight Yoakam. The actor cum singer pulled out of the project due to schedulig issues even though productions are well underway. The movie which reportedly at one stage having a whopping $250 million budget (nice work if you can get it eh?) has of course got Johnny Depp as it’s leading man. Now Fichtner is on board and his character Cavendish, described as a no good varmint, who leaves John Reid for dead who later pays for his misdeed when an American Indian played by Johnny Depp rescues Reid and helps him become the hero that is The Lone Ranger.
