I actually quite liked the first Paranormal Activity, and while it is to blame for the current rash of found footage drek, the original and it's sequels, which somewhat kept up the quality of the original, have a very deep and involving story running through them. That and they scared the pants off me.
The trailer for the fourth installment has hit, and it follows on directly from number 2, the third installment being a prequel, with the demon at the center of the series plaguing a new family, with some familiar faces along for the ride. It looks promising enough, the inclusion of skype being a neat way of updating the series M.O.
