After having Daft Punk do the soundtrack for Tron: Legacy, it looks like director Joseph Kosinski used his C.D. collection for inspiration once again, bringing on French electronic rock band M83 to do the score for the his upcoming sci-fi actioner Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise. Through the bands Facebook page, we are given a taste of what to expect from the sound track, with a sample from a track titled 'aerial battle'. The soundtrack for Tron: Legacy was amazing, really fit the movie and complimented it perfectly, and judging from this short snippet, the Oblivion soundtrack is going to be no different.
Synopsis:Jack Harper is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete. Living and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft.
