He's a Spider-man villain I wanted to see on the big screen for a long time, and it looks like that might happen, with news that Paul Giamatti is in talks to play The Rhino in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. For those who don't know the character, the name pretty much says it all: he'a thug wearing a suit of super hard materials, granting him super speed and strength. And he has a horn on top of his head. If Giamatti agrees to the role, he will share big bad duties with Jamie Foxx, who has already signed up as Electro, harassing the returning Andrew Garfield.
Giamtti isn't the only piece of casting being negotiated for the sequel, with actress Felicity Jones is talks to take on an unspecified role. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is due to start production in February, with it's eye on a May 2nd 2014 release date.
