I was lucky enough to see some of Planes a few months ago and it looks like it could be alot of fun. And while it looks like it might be straight out of Pixar, this is not a Pixar movie. It’s Disney themselves firing the polygons around the screen. It’s got lots of clever little touches (that I’ve seen) and one of those is quite obvious in the following clip. Watch out for the airport in the shape of an aeroplane, complete with a rather epic tail.
This clip was originally shown exclusively in AMC Theatres in the States and now it’s online via Disney. And I just can’t help feeling an overwhelming urge to play Afterburner!! Or watch Top Gun again!
Synopsis: Dusty is a cropdusting plane who dreams of competing in a famous aerial race. The problem? He is hopelessly afraid of heights. With the support of his mentor Skipper and a host of new friends, Dusty sets off to make his dreams come true.
