The Bourne Legacy proved that the kick-ass spy franchise just wasn’t the same without Matt Damon, so I think we were all over the moon when it was announced that Damon and director Paul Greengrass were coming back for the currently without an official title Bourne 5. Now that camera’ have started rolling, we get our first image of Jason Bourne’s return, courtesy of producer Frank Marshall. It’s great to have him back.

Nothing much is known about this fifth instalment of the franchise, but Damon has previously teased that it will take Bourne “through an austerity-riddled Europe in a post-Snowden world”, taking on themes like “spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy”. Returning alongside Damon is Julia Stiles, while the newcomers include Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, and Vincent Cassel.Bourne 5 is set for release July 26th 2016.
