There has been a lot of casting news regarding the highly anticipated Kingsman: The Golden Circle lately, with Halle Berry, Julianne Moore, and Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal all joining the returning Taron Eggerton, Mark Strong, and, as been teased, Colin Firth for the crazy spy sequel. The craziest bit of casting came yesterday, with news that Elton John was in talks for a role, but now that has been topped, with Channing Tatum announcing his involvement with the below tweet that echoes the poster that announced Firth’s possible return:
The exact role he will be playing is unknown at this stage, but with director Matthew Vaughn previously revealing that Egerton’s Eggsy will meet his match in his American counterpart in the spay game, describing the character as a “swaggering, sharpshooting cowboy”, it’s not hard to believe that Tatum will be stepping into the shoes of this character, the above “southerner” quote be damned!!
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set for release June 16th 2017.
I'm about to get all up in that Golden Circle. #Kingsman pic.twitter.com/LqCPJ6monO— Channing Tatum (@channingtatum) April 14, 2016
