The more I see of David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook, the more I can't wait to see it. While the first trailer painted it as your typical rom-com (well as typical as a movie about mental illness can be), a new trailer presents something a little bit darker.
With Three Kings, I ♥ Huckabees, and The Fighter, Russell has proven himself to be a very strong director, and there is no sign of him slipping with this. Add to that the strong leads of Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, and fine support in Robert De Niro, this movie is definitely one to watch out for.
Synopsis: After a stint in a mental institution, former teacher Pat Solitano moves back in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.
Released: November 21st 2012 (U.K./IRL/U.S.)
